Frequencies and applications
Improving regulatory ability
Even in ancient times, illnesses were successfully treated with so-called “magnetite” (natural magnetic stone). The principle is simple: magnetic fields can improve the ability to regulate and thus contribute to activating the body’s self-healing powers.
One of the most important frequencies - if not the most important frequency of all - is the main value of the Schumann frequency spectrum with the value of 7.8 Hz. It is neutral, balancing and supports concentration. We call it the "feel-good frequency".

Selecting the frequency
It is important to find the right frequency for the application. In general, any frequency can be suitable for an application. Some frequencies have proven to be effective in certain situations. For example, there are stimulating frequencies on the one hand and those that are used more for relaxation on the other.

Magnetic field devices from Dr. Ludwig
Depending on the model, different preset frequencies can be selected for use with Dr. Ludwig's small devices. A setting for the main value of the Schumann frequency spectrum, 7.8 Hz, is available on every device.
All devices also contain components that are informed with the geomagnetic frequencies already described, so that this information is transported with the magnetic field of any selected frequency.
Some of the small devices (MEDICUR®pro, METRONOM solar and METRONOM C) also contain two separate coils, which emit the following frequency spectra with each selected frequency:
- Solar frequencies
- 2000 Hz (2 kHz)
With the MEDICUR®color, the electromagnetic solar frequencies are emitted in different spectra depending on the color selection.
With the large devices, any frequency between 0.1 and 1000 Hz can be set. In addition, the geomagnetic and solar frequencies are automatically generated.
We call Schumann, geomagnetic and solar frequencies the “biological norms”. You can find the exact description of these frequencies in the menu item Environmental Signals.
Transfer of information
One property of electromagnetic waves is their ability to absorb and transport information. The electromagnetic wave of our devices can be used as a pure application signal with the appropriate frequency and also as a carrier wave. It can transport both exogenous (foreign to the body) and endogenous (body's own) information.
The small devices have an ampoule holder for this purpose. Large devices offer the option of connecting a cup (MEDICUP) for information transfer / substrate oscillation.
